Kubuntu Desktop 20.04 LTS 64-bit installed on a 200 GB disk created with VirtualBox 7.0.18.

The following extra steps were taken:

  • Installed software:
    • net-tools
    • apt-transport-https
    • wget
    • vim
  • Disable unattended-upgrades by /etc/apt/apt.conf.d/99periodic
  • Add short apt connection timeout to /etc/apt/apt.conf.d/99connection
